December was a busy month. Not in the newsletter: JAK’s Place was open on Christmas day. Diane Melang originally volunteered to do this, but her house was sold suddenly and she had to move. We will miss her and her music. But the party went on, with a rusty but rockin’ substitute cook and guitar player.

Our first after-dinner concert ever was a smashing success. There’s nothing like live music, and Dorothy is an awesome performer, accompanying herself with guitar and piano. After several solo songs, she had us drum along with a couple.
We hope to have more events like this in the future. Hey, all you musicians out there!
