CSP Holiday Party Postponed

December 19, 2008 • JAK's Place

Because of the snow, the party will be held on Monday, December 23. Same time, same place 🙂

From Sheryl Flores:

Good Morning All,

Sorry to announce the cancelation of the CSP Holiday Lunch today. We
have rescheduled for Monday December 22 starting at 11:00 with lunch
served at noon. Please pass this message on to any other NAMI or JAK’s Place consumer that may have been planning on attending today.

We apologize for Mother Nature dumping another snow storm on us today!

First Aid and CPR Training

December 11, 2008 • JAK's Place

The staff of JAK’s place is planning on taking some training courses at NWTC in March, 2009. It is hoped that some of our volunters will join us in learning or refreshing their knowledge of procedures that could save lives in an emergency.  Everyone who works with people should know what to do in case of an accident or if someone chokes on food or has a seizure.

October schedule and newsletter

September 26, 2008 • JAK's Place

JAK’s Place will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 1st, and our schedule is changing slightly — we will be open from 1 – 5 on Wednesdays instead of 2 – 6. Otherwise it will not vary too much. CSP is sponsoring a Halloween Costume Party on the 31st.

Our October newsletter may be going out a little late. This month we are “piggybacking” on the NAMI-DC newsletter, and there are more details to take care of. Anyway, here is the October schedule:

Edited to add: If that file gives you any problems (apparently a small change goofed up the PDF making settings), try this one:

One event mentioned on the calendar that the newsletter will be too late for is the UW-Extension Poverty Workshop that will be held at Bay View Lutheran Church on Oct. 1st.
