The latest NAMI Doorways is hitting snailboxes already. Flowers are peeking out between old snowbanks, and most of us have missed seeing the first robin of spring (I mean, how do we know it’s the first anyway? Only some unlucky worm knows for sure).

There is a small error in the calendar that was sent to CSP; we will not be closed on the first of April. Kind of an accidental April Fool’s joke. There definitely will be Tai Chi and Yoga, too.

Though winter is over, it’s still cold enough to need a quilt at night. The Quilting Ladies of Holy Name of Mary Chuch, Maplewood, donated one of their productions to JAK’s Place. It’s not as elegant as our raffle quilt, but very warm and cozy. Anyone in need of covering can claim it.

The Film Group is picking up momentum. Our moviemakers are considering entering Tech Soup’s Digital Storytelling contest. Anyone is welcome to join the group, whether or not they have a camera or a computer. The JAK’s computers are available for use by the group as well as for general computer learning purposes. The software of choice for video editing is Wax, from www.debugmode.com. It is free, and while much easier to learn to use than many other video editors, is capable of producing pretty slick videos.
